You are not using the flame properly. Your flame should be large enough to cover the whole thing permanently. Flame is too close. If you can heat it without flame it would be better.

Nice video 👍👍 love it. There is relatively little vids on how to do side covers or suggesting ideas. Those pstterns can actually be used by people that have no heave tools/welders, they can be done with glass fiber as well.
